The annual International OMAE Conference, which is being organised by the OMAE Division of ASME and Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST), is co-sponsored by a number of international associations in the year of the Great World Exhibition in Lisbon (EXPO'98).
The Conference comprises five symposia, the latest addition being the Ocean Space Utilisation Symposium, which is connected with the main theme of EXPO'98 'Oceans Our Heritage for the Future'.
CURRENT THEMES OF INTEREST
Deep Water Developments and Marginal Fields
Reassessment and Re-certification of Structures
Decommissioning of Offshore Structures
Reliability Based Design Guidelines
Use of the Oceans and Coastal Areas
Abstracts: Send two copies of the abstracts in 300 to 400 words to one of the symposium co-ordinators or to an appropriate session organiser. The abstract must include full names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address of the corresponding author and co-authors.
Review: All manuscripts will be reviewed according to the ASME paper review criteria prior to acceptance. Papers of permanent interest will be further reviewed far publication in the ASME Transactions, Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering.
